U.S. space telescope discovers a planet that lies outside the solar system. Planet looked rocky, similar to the Earth.
So says the U.S. space agency (Nasa), told the Associated Press. The planet was named Kepler 10-b, following a NASA telescope that monitor it.
However, the planet is uninhabitable, due to overheating. According toNASA, the temperature on one side of the planet at 2700 degreesFahrenheit, or about 1482 degrees Celsius.
Astronomers from NASA, Natalie Batalha, said that the planet-sized 1.4times larger and has a mass of 4.5 is more dense than Earth. 10-b Keplerorbits in a sun-like star 560 light-years away, or about 9.4 trillion miles.
